Today’s feeds were at a rate of 265 for a volume of 200. We were able to skip the 2 pm feed because Kyleigh managed to eat a whole hot dog and that was MORE than enough calories to account for one feed. We put her down to nap without a feed going and she went right to sleep no problem. She has also shown an increased interest in food in the past few days. I think this is primarily due to moving back to bolos feeds. This afternoon she even offered to drink some blue kool aid from a cup.
For an entire day Kyleigh’s diaper was dry today. Even this morning with her normal morning poop the fibers of the diaper were dry. I also notice with cathings that it is taking longer and longer and sometimes I have to push on her bladder to get her to fully empty. I will have to speak with Dr. Alam about this.
Observations after a week of Ditropan February 26, 2008
After a week of Ditropan in the cath I am definitely noticing a MUCH better cathing output and for the most part Kyleigh is DRY in her diapers in between cathings!! We have also thrown in a few extra cathings per day because we have found a correlation between how full her bladder is and how she is able to process her feeds. It seems that every time her bladder is full she vomits her feeds. We have started cathing BEFORE every feed and she is doing well with that. We will keep our fingers crossed on this!

Cathed on time with standard amounts- Kyleigh was at grandparents house today so cathing amounts were not recorded. We were late cathing at 5 pm and did not get there until 6:30 pm. She got a volume of feed of 268 instead of her normal 225. She was being cathed and began to throw up projectile.
